HISTORY

At the time of obtaining state status, Fculty of Agriculture, University of Lampung only had two majors, namely the Department of Agricultural Engineering and the Department of Agricultural Social Economics. After being located on the Gedong Meneng Campus, Faculty of Agriculture experienced rapid development, so that until 2007 Faculty of Agriculture already had nine majors, namely Agricultural Cultivation (Undergraduate Program of Agronomy, Undergraduate Program of Horticulture, and Masters Program in Agronomy); Agricultural Socio-Economics (Undergraduate Program of Social Economics Agriculture, Undergraduate Program of Agricultural Extension and Communication, and Master Program in Agribusiness); Soil Science (Undergraduate Program of Soil Science); Plant Protection (Undergraduate Program of Plant Pests and Diseases); Agricultural Product Technology (Undergraduate Program of Agricultural Product Technology and Masters Program of Agro-industry Technology); Livestock Production (Undergraduate Program of Animal Health Production and Diploma of Animal Health); Forest Management (Undergraduate Program of Forest Management); PS S-1 Equivalent Department of Agricultural Engineering; and Undergraduate Program of equivalent to the Department of Aquaculture.

In 2008 in accordance with the Decree of the Directorate General of Higher Education No. 163/DIKTI/KEP/2007 concerning Arrangement and Codification of Undergraduate Program in Higher Education, the Undergraduate Program at Faculty of Agriculture, University of Lampung became seven Undergraduate Programs, namely: Undergraduate Program of Agroecotechnology (a merger of Agronomy, Horticulture, Soil Science, and Plant Pest and Disease Science); Undergraduate Program of Agribusiness (merger of Agricultural Economics/Agribusiness, agricultural extension and Communication); Undergraduate Program of Agricultural Product Technology; Undergraduate Program of Animal Husbandry; Undergraduate Program of Forestry; Undergraduate Program of Agricultural Engineering; and Undergraduate Program of Aquaculture. There are three Masters Degree Programs at Faculty of Agriculture , namely: Masters Program of Agroecotechnology [concentration on Agronomy, Land Resources and Environment, Integrated Pest and Disease Management, Environmental Science, and Natural Resource Management and Rural Development (MSAPP)]; and Master program of Agricultural Economics/Agribusiness; and Master program of Agroindustry Technology.
